How to check the purity of Turmeric Powder at home?

Turmeric powder has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-oxidant, and anti-neoplastic properties and many other properties which are yet to be published by researchers. It s being used widely all across the globe for increasing immunity and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, chronic anterior uveitis, conjunctivitis, skin cancer, smallpox, chicken pox, wound healing, urinary tract infections, and liver ailments.  

However, there are many cases of adulteration in turmeric powder, and most people don't know how to check the purity of turmeric powder at home. 

The adulteration of turmeric powder can be checked at home by performing the following steps.:-

1. Take warm water in a glass and add a teaspoon of turmeric powder to it.

2. Let the turmeric powder to settle down for around 10-15 minutes. 

3. If the turmeric powder settles down, it is real; if it does not settle down and leaves a dark yellow color, it is adulterated.
